Both web hosting companies offer free setup, control panel, site builders, a domain name, 24/7 toll free support and Frontpage extensions.
BlueHost offers UNLIMITED web space, monthly transfer, domains, add-on domains, subdomains, and parked domains. Whereas InMotion offers 200,000MB of disk space, 2,000GB monthly transfer, up to 5 parked domains, and no subdomains.
InMotion offers Windows, MAC, and Linux where BlueHost operates Linux only. InMotion’s package gives you 5 FTP accounts, 2 MySQL databases, choice of 3 shopping carts, a 30 day money back guarantee (90 days on business class plan), and tutorials. In comparing BlueHost we found they have 100 MySQL databases, 1,000 FTP accounts (plus Anonymous FTP), choice of 4 shopping carts, and a live demo. I could not find where InMotion says how many websites they host but BlueHost hosts over 750,000. InMotion also says it includes email accounts but it was not clear if it was unlimited or a certain number and BlueHost has 2500 emails included.
In our BlueHost review we found them to offer a very comprehensive and feature full package for a reasonable price of under $7.00.
In our InMotion review we found their $5.00 plan to have enough features for a personal and perhaps a small business website but they also have plenty of other web hosting packages to choose from or upgrade to.
