Today, July 7, 2010, we will take a look at the new stats for 3 of the best web hosting providers in the industry: BlueHost, HostGator, and DreamHost. Our last comparison of these three hosts was a couple of months ago, so it will be fun to see how each has done over the last 2 months.
Our BlueHost review of stats:
New domains: 969
Transferred in domains: 621
Transferred out domains: 620
Deleted domains: 428
Net increase: 542
Total BlueHost domains: 1,086,619
Our HostGator review of stats:
New domains: 1,362
Transferred in domains: 1,859
Transferred out domains: 1,398
Deleted domains: 137
Net increase: 1,686
Total HostGator domains: 1,162,148
Our DreamHost review of stats:
New domains: 839
Transferred in domains: 504
Transferred out domains: 489
Deleted domains: 318
Net increase: 536
Total DreamHost domains: 1,009,446
It appears as though HostGator has had the most growth with a net increase of more than 1,600 domain names pointed to their servers. However, to get a more accurate view we will look at where these three web hosts were 2 months ago to see which has added the most domains over the last two months.
Totals from April 28th, 2010:
BlueHost: 1,033,560
HostGator: 1,057,010
DreamHost: 983,750
DreamHost has added a significant number of domains at: 25,696, but BlueHost added double that with: 53,059, however, HostGator was almost double what BlueHost added at: 105,138. HostGator continues to make huge progress. Along with being one of the most reliable hosts in the industry, they offer some of the best products, services, and customer support.
